Information exploitation is a term which we use to group together all aspects of ensuring that information is accessible, managed correctly and can be relied upon to make decisions efficiently and correctly. The methods of managing information range greatly depending on many factors but the needs to make information available are ever increasing. The technologies available are constantly changing and organisations find it difficult to determine the right strategy and even more difficult to implement. There are high risks involved with the selection and implementation of some information management tools and the cost of taking the wrong approach or failure is significant. Suppliers of technologies will offer a biased view point and thus organisations need independent support from experts who can provide well proven advice and fact track the implementation of the appropriate information management elements. Information exploitation methods can also be used to satisfy the current working methods. Methods by which information is made available can enable home working and remote working which can provide additional operational efficiencies and staffing options. The end goal is to be able to reliably exploit the information within the organisation and provide significant benefits as a result. Key Benefits
CapabilitiesWe see this as a key activity to ensure that information management policy, processes and tools are rolled out in the most efficient way. Our methodology is unique in enabling controls to be applied to legacy information without the need to expend large resources to catalogue, index and sort. The methodology is outlines in the following document Information Management Strategy. Against the various stages of the methodology we can undertake all/any of the appropriate tasks.
